What Does This Certification Cost?
The fees for asapm Certified Project Associate, IPMA-D, are:
- Examination Fee: $350 for asapm members, $450 for non-members
The Level-D Certification Process
Step 1: You may pay the Examination Fee by check made out to asapm, or by Credit Card, using the process below. Note the price advantage you gain by becoming an asapm member first; that fee is $60/year, and you can apply for asapm membership at: www.asapm.org/membership/join.asp.
Step 2: Prepare for the asapm Certified Project Associate exam. The best way to do so is to practice effective Project Management. Some workshops by PM Vendors who participate in asapm's Competence Enabler Program can also be very helpful. Then, review asapm's National Competence Baseline for the nuances of the full range of Project Management practices.
Step 3: Sit for the exam. We hold exams periodically, and report the dates and locations here on the front page of the PMCert website. The exam is 4 hours in duration, and consists of 1 hour of multiple choice and True/False questions, and 3 hours of a handful of your selection of our topics on written essay questions. If you need more information about the timing and location of the next Level-D exam, please contact Bill Duncan, PMCert Chair.
Step 4: Within 6 weeks of the date of the exam, we notify you of your level of success in the exam, following up for those who qualify with a certificate noting your certification as asapm Certified Project Associate, IPMA-D.
